On a little spree to watch movies up for Oscars. First candidate: Sideways. This is a great movie. It's a slice of life (no plot) type of movie that I always enjoy. You literally go on a little journey through wine country. For me, it was reminiscent of a wedding trip in Napa valley this summer. There were at least a half-a-dozen very memorable scenes that made me laugh out loud. In three words or less, this a "guys chick flick". I.E. a guys romantic comedy. I highly recommend this to anyone who doesn't need plot and action to keep their attention.
I agree that this is an excellent film. although I disagree that there was no plot. The movie clearly had a plot: spend a week as best friends before getting married on Saturday and get laid in the process. Not the tightest plot in the world, but a plot none the less.
This movie does deserve special recognition on Oscar Night, although I would not hold my breath knowing the garbage that gets nominated and often wins. No more Tom Hanks, please...

Haven't seen it yet but my Mom was saying that Sandra Oh came into her store when they had the premier in Healdsburg.
Em's been wanting to see it so after this review I guess I need to go. Also Erik I need to get you a bottle of the latest "Boar Doe". It's one of the best we have ever made...
